CELEBRATE 15 – THE BEST IS YET TO COME! Pastor Curt

1. Pastor Curt talked about the cultural pull towards a life of mediocrity. He said he believes we are all born to be extraordinary, but many of us choose to live ordinary. Do you agree with this thought? Why or why not? 2. One of the things that is a "hold us back" in our lives is a wrong view of ourselves. Because of our insecurity, fear, feelings of inadequacy, and reluctance we, like Moses, don't see ourselves as worthy of God's call on our lives. How would your life be different if you believed God's view of you from 1 Peter 2:9? 3. Another thing that "holds us back" is a wrong view of God. God is calling us to live a life that requires Him to make it happen. What are you dreaming that's bigger than you? Have you been dreaming or have you stopped? What will it take to get you to dream again? 4. Faith is stirred in the presence of the Lord. Pastor Curt shared that when he's discouraged, he always goes back to the moment when the Lord spoke. Another way of saying it is to remember in the dark what God spoke in the light. What word from the Lord do you need to remember? 5. Faith goes beyond inspiration to participation. God told the three kings, through Elisha, to make the valley full of ditches. He wanted their involvement before He brought the rain they needed. What is God waiting for us to do before He does the miracle we're believing for?
