CENTRAL 1 CREDIT UNION
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, these three inaugural Director positions are responsible for managing and developing a variety of functions and processes that mitigate Central 1’s exposure to unnecessary risk. These individuals will contribute to the overall leadership of credit and counterparty risk, organizational risk, treasury risk, emergency planning, business continuity, disaster recovery and information security, and will provide input into the overall goals, objectives and operations within the risk group. The Directors are responsible for contributing to the development of an Enterprise Risk Management program for Central 1. These positions will also liaise with FICOM and OSFI. As an ideal candidate, you are an astute professional who brings a strong operational and/or market risk management approach and at least 10 years of progressive experience in the field, ideally in the financial services or payment processing sector. Experience within a large, complex organization and an ability to think strategically and execute policy and procedures will be key to your success. A true collaborator, you are multi-faceted, balancing an understanding of the business with a drive for best practices. Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to create a positive and enthusiastic work environment are hallmarks of the right leaders for Central1. Your post-secondary degree in Finance or Business Administration will be augmented by a financial designation and/or risk certification.
