2017-2018 Officers:

Chaparral Women’s Club is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring two (2) scholarships for Williamson County high school seniors graduating in 2018. Eligible schools include any public high school in Williamson County. The selection criteria are outlined below.

This scholarship is intended for use to continue education beyond High School in the form of a 4-year College or University, Trade School or Community College.

President Elect: Audrey Standlee

Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of April 2018 and will be recognized at the schools’ award ceremonies. Applicants not receiving scholarships will not be contacted. Disbursement will be made directly to the recipients’ educational institution.

Chaparral Women’s Club has volunteered time and money toward many projects, including Coats for Kids, Habitat for Humanity, Texas Baptist Children’s Home, Blue Santa, Handbags for Hope, The Caring Place, and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. In addition, the Chaparrals also provide select high school seniors with financial assistance for higher education.

Applications must be filled out in its entirety. Applications missing signatures, sealed transcripts, test scores or letters of recommendation will be dismissed. If a section is not applicable, please note “n/a”. The Spirit of Chaparral Scholarship Two (2) $2500 scholarships – seeks to recognize young women who have spent time giving back to their community. These young women must be an individual who is a good example to her peers; set high standards in all she does; a good citizen or steward in her community, (school, sports, church, clubs, band, etc.); a person others wish to emulate. Activities, academics, recommendation letters and essay content will be considerations for this scholarship.
