Create a line drawing using charcoal that represents a historical figure. Include a motif or symbol that relates to the figure in the background of your drawing. Use line to create emphasis and harmony in your drawing. Before you begin your good copy, create a plan to generate visual and written ideas. Remember to explain in writing who your drawing represents, what your area of emphasis is, and how you achieve harmony in your work. You will have 3 - 4 periods to complete your work.
