Materials: 1 Chillingsworth Panel 3/4 yd of Chilling Dictionary 1 yd Dentals in Pepper (Border 1 and Binding) 1/3 yd Black Solid (Border 2) Fat Eighth yd Woven Stripe Twin Size batting 2.5 yds for Backing matching thread Tools: sewing machine iron pins safety pins or basting spray rotary cutter and ruler marking pen or pencil

Cut the Panel to 23.5 x 42.5 Dentals in Pepper: 3 - 6“ squares 4 - strips WOF 1.25” wide 5 - strips WOF 2” wide 6 - strips WOF 2.5“ wide (binding) Black Solid: 9 - strips WOF 1.25” wide Dictionary: 5 - 6” squares 2 - 5.5“ x 31.5” 1 - 5.5” x 20.5” 1 - 5.5” x 19” 1 - 5.5” x 9.5” Woven Stripe: 2 - 6” squares

• Always sew right sides together with a 1/4” seam

Directions for Piecing:

• Don’t trim your long strips until after you’ve sewn them. The longest strips will require piecing. 5” x 5”

• Start by sewing the long sides first, then the shorter top and bottom pieces. Work your out from the center adding borders as shown in the diagram. • Once your top is complete, baste your back, batting and top together using your favorite method. • Machine or hand quilt as desired. We did a simple loopy meander by free-motion. • Trim, bind and enjoy!

On each of the Dictionary squares, draw a line from one corner to the opposite corner. Start with 1 square of Dictionary and 1 square of Sharps or Woven Stripe. With right sides together, line these squares up on top of each other. Sew a scant 1/4” on both sides of the line. Cut on the line and press open. Repeat for remaining square. Trim down to 5.5” squares.
