The master plan for the financial and commercial center located in the heart of Beijing brings all of the elements together with the existing buildings already aligned along north-south, east-west axes. Dominated by the entertainment program, the plan for the northsouth axis houses retail, restaurants, winter garden, and ice-skating. The east-west axis, on the other hand, provides passive open spaces: a sculpture park by the performing arts center, and a majestic tree filled plaza to compliment the 80-level tower-the feature building in the complex.
