THIRD SUNDAY FOOD DRIVE. Next weekend, December 14-15, is the regular Third Sunday food collection. This is the last drive of the year, and it will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry here in town. The holidays can be particularly hard times for family suffering job losses or debilitating illness. St. Vincent de Paul reaches out to a wide range of people from our community in need. Volunteers will be posted outside the main entrance of the church collecting non-perishable food and cash donations. (Checks can be made out to Church of St. Dunstan.) The Third Sunday group wishes to thank all parishioners who have given so generously this holiday season, and we wish all a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

FINANCIAL BLESSINGS November 23 & 24 November 30/December 1 Campaign for Human Development

Liturgical Publications Inc. will have a sales representative available within the next few weeks for those interested in placing a new ad in our publication. To place your ad, please contact Pete Silvestri at 800-884-4574 ext. 3335 or [email protected].

If anyone in the parish wishes prayers for someone who is sick, please call the office and the name will be printed in the bulletin. It will run for four weeks, unless a renewal is requested.

ADVENT SCRIPTURE SERIES Our third session of the Current Advent Bible Study Series will be this Thursday, December 12th, in Fr Bannon Hall at 7:00 PM. You need not have attended a prior session to attend this session. We will continue in the Gospel of Matthew and the messianic reading in Isaiah. Please bring your Bible, but come even if you don’t have a Bible since we have extras to share. Have you noticed that the gods of culture want us to be so busy that we don’t even have time for Jesus, who is the reason for the season? Our sessions are informal and end promptly at 8:30. Light refreshments are served. For more information call Walter Twachtman 860-633-7837.
