Transmap Corporation is currently supporting the City of Huber Heights in their goal of having intelligent pavement distress data that will keep the pavement network at the high level of support that their constituents demand. Transmap set up the City of Huber Heights with MicroPAVER to analyze pavement distress data that Transmap collected to make objective decisions on pavement rehabilitation projects. Phase I – 2010: Transmap successfully inventoried 165 miles of pavement distresses. Transmap imported the export file directly into their MicroPAVER system. Transmap is building a Linear Reference System (LRS) to support the collection of curb types throughout the City. Transmap is also collecting curb distress location, so the City can make intelligent decisions on repair budgets. Transmap performed non-destructive structural analysis testing with the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) on 40 miles of roadway. The FWD is a standard nondestructive deflection test used to simulate the load from a moving tire. Transmap set up an ArcGIS Server site with all images and distress data loaded, so the City of Huber Heights could view their data in a cloud environment. Transmap also provided a two day training class on how to use MicroPAVER. This class counts as Professional Development Hours. Phase II – 2013: Transmap will conduct a pavement inspection in the City of Huber Heights every 2-4 years. Phase III – 2012: Transmap will support continued Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing on roads that are deemed to have possible structural failure.
