This might be something we could do . . . I wonder if it would work at Public Works?
Met with Michael Allen, President of All Energy Solar, Inc. Everyone was sure that solar energy could reduce the need to buy electricity for the Public Works’ site.

But what’s the catch?
Funding • Grant Funding through Xcel Energy’s Solar Rewards Program • Additional Funding through the State of Minnesota for purchasing technology made in Mountain Iron, MN • Selling Federal Energy Credits and letting someone else benefit from the accelerated depreciation offered for alternative energy projects through Newport Partners
Questions Is this legal? Do we have to bid the project? Is this a sole source possibility? How would we even start to write a specification that would cover all of the aspects of this type of project? • Has anyone ever done this before? • Are these solar systems really compatible with the current electrical system?
