City of Sheboygan Shoreline Recreational Fire Rings The City of Sheboygan provides four recreational fire rings along the shoreline of Lake Michigan for public use. They are located north of Deland Beach near North Point Park. These fire rings are available for use without permit or fee on a first-come, first-served basis, from Memorial Day weekend through August. Please enjoy these fire rings responsibly and clean up all debris and litter after use. Trash receptacles are provided along Broughton Drive.

FIRE RING USE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING RULES: Per City Ord. Sec. 74-63 Rules will be strictly enforced with the following Fines $187 Fine – 1st Offense $250 Fine – 2nd Offense  

FIRES ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN PROVIDED FIRE RINGS. Users must burn only dry, clean fire wood without paint, varnish, plastics, flammable or combustible liquids, rubber, leather, nails, etc. NO PALLETS OR FURNITURE! Please do not leave or burn trash in the fire ring. Glass containers are not allowed on City Beaches or in City Parks. The use of flammable liquids to ignite fires is strictly prohibited. The height of the wood fuel load shall be no greater than 18 inches Fire must be under constant supervision. Fires must be extinguished by 10:00 p.m.. Fires should be extinguished with water and not covered with sand. The possession of fermented malt beverages or intoxicating liquors is prohibited on all beach areas in the city of Sheboygan. The City of Sheboygan is not responsible for any injuries or death as a result of improper use of the fire rings.

Fire rings are provided at the discretion of the Superintendent of Parks and Forestry. Please follow all rules and call the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3333 to report any violations that you may see. Please help your community keep this unique beach amenity.
