It's Back to School time! Whip up one of the fun shark/whale pencil pouches. And be sure to stop by our classroom for the Urban Artifacts trunk show. Bus Trip Reminder Our bus trip is THIS SATURDAY, August 19th! You'll be picked up at the park and ride under the bridge of 1604 and I-10. Please be there by 7:45. Maria (our San Antonio store manager) received a call from her friend at St. PJ's - They need more quilts! St. PJ's is a licensed short-term emergency shelter for 135 children who are victims of abuse, neglect and human and sex trafficking.

They loved the quilts donated during the Holidays and they've put in a request for more! The same week they asked for help Moda announced Sew A Jelly Roll Day! Coincidence? I think not! Please join us September 16th from 1:00-4:00 to sew some Jelly Roll Race Quilts for St. PJ's. Bring your own Jelly Roll or purchase one the day of the event for $20 to be used at the event. We'll be donating the backing, batting, and thread. Space is limited - please call 210-698-6076 to reserve your seat. Please let us know if you'd like to borrow a machine.

Leslie Tucker Jenison is an award-winning contemporary quiltmaker from San Antonio TX. A surface design artist for 16 years, her work has been shown in local, national, and international venues. Leslie has been on The Quilt Show and has been a frequent guest on Quilting Arts TV. She has written numerous articles for quilting magazines and has been a featured artist in numerous books and has a workshop DVD with F&W media.
