Debi Kuennen-Baker
For over 30 years, Debi has enjoyed lecturing, teaching and sharing her passion for quilting and constructing unique garments. Her artistic eye blends piecing, fabric weaving, machine embroidery, serging and many other embellishments to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces that inspire all who lay their eyes on them. With the introduction of the Baby Lock Sashiko, Debi found a new passion. The trendy Sashiko garments, home-dec and craft items she created showcased the wonders of this machine. Debi’s garments have been featured in six Fairfield/Bernina Fashion shows. Her popular teaching style has landed her in classes at Road to California, Sew Expo in Puyallup WA., Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion, Baby Lock Dealer Convention and numerous sewing machine conventions. In addition to teaching, she has published her own book, Binding Made Easy, and her work has been featured in several books and magazines, most recently Creative Machine Embroidery.

Quilt Binding 101 Come join Pam in this hands on technique class. This class will teach you how to put on traditional binding and how to join the two ends so they can’t tell where you started and stopped. We’ll also learn wrap-from-the-back mitered corner bindings. These are great for quick , easy children’s quilts or charity quilts. This class will even tackle the scary scalloped edge bindings using bias binding! You will learn a quick easy way to make bias binding with the bias binding rulers. We will also explore “facing bindings” used on art quilts. With the introduction of the Baby Lock Sashiko, Debi found a new passion. The trendy Sashiko garments, home-dec and craft items she created showcased the wonders of this machine. Debi’s garments have been featured in six Fairfield/Bernina Fashion shows. Her popular teaching style has landed her in classes at Road to California, Sew Expo in Puyallup WA., Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion, Baby Lock Dealer Convention and numerous sewing machine conventions. In addition to teaching, she has published her own book, Binding Made Easy, and her work has been featured in several books and magazines, most recently Creative Machine Embroidery.

This class will teach you how to put on traditional binding and how to join the two ends so they can’t tell where you started and stopped. We’ll also learn wrap-from-the-back mitered corner bindings. These are great for quick , easy children’s quilts or charity quilts. This class will even tackle the scary scalloped edge bindings using bias binding! You will learn a quick easy way to make bias binding with the bias binding rulers. We will also explore “facing bindings” used on art quilts.
