A fat eight measures 9"x22" and a fat quarter measures 18"x 22" Fabric 1: (Background blocks) 4 different Fat eights (white or cream) Fabric 2: (vertical Border) 1 fat eight (floral) Fabric 3: (Lettering / Leaves) 1 fat Quarter (green) Fabric 4: (Boots) 1 fat eight (yellow) Fabric 5: (Umbrella/Yo-Yo flower) 1 fat eight or scrap of fabric (Pink) Fabric 6: (Ruched Flower) 1 fat eight or scrap of fabric (orange/purple) Fabric 7: (Backing) ½ yard Other: Light -weight fusible web (for traditional appliqué method)- 1 yard Fusible no show mesh (for in the hoop method) 5/8 yd mini rick -rack (green) 1 yard Jumbo rick -rack (yellow or cream) ¼ yard of 3/8" wide ribbon (orange or red) 2 beads (yellow) 4x10 felt for felt flowers 2/3 yard muslin or white for quilting the front of the pillow 2/3 yard batting 1yard muslin and poly stuffing i(f making the pillow form ) or a pillow form to fit

Prior to class please cut and label the following: blocks

Fabric 1- cut (3) 6"x8" blocks from each fabric for a total of 12

Fabric 2- cut (2) 4¼"x17" strips Fabric 6- cut (2) 1½" x 20 " strips If you're making the appliqué the traditional way (not in embroidery) please trace the umbrella, umbrella handle, 2 boots,(one in each direction) leaves, and welcome spring onto the paper side of your fusible web. Simply lay your fusible web over the pattern and trace with identi pen or marker. (note: you will need to match the dots on the welcome spring lettering.)

Classroom Etiquette 1. Please come prepared and arrive on time for your class 2. Please turn your cell phones to silent or vibrate and if you must answer or make a call during class, please step outside. 3. Please keep all side conversations and chit chat to a minimum.

4. If you have a question in regards to the class, please ask the instructor and not your neighbor as your neighbor may not have the correct answer. 5. All beverages must be in a container with a lid
