Will you allow your intern to attend two 90-minute seminars during their work hours? ____________________ Please list all roles and responsibilities expected from the intern (job description may be attached): The summer intern will assist in all facets of Development at The Silver Academy, Central PA’s only Jewish Day School. Under the supervision of the Director of Development the intern __________________________________________________________________________________________ will strengthen relationships between the school and the business community, and interact with Silver Academy families, community partners, volunteers, donors, Board of Directors, __________________________________________________________________________________________ committee members, and staff. The intern will assist in fundraising projects, marketing activities, social media, event planning, and grant writing and research. __________________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________ What qualities are you looking for in an intern? Organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to provide high quality customer service to Silver Academy volunteers, donors, families, and the public. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Must demonstrate a strong passion for Jewish communal work with a motivation to gain an understanding of the workings of the nonprofit world and philanthropy. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Social Media are a necessity. Photoshop and Publisher are preferred. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Any other information the JFGH or candidates should know regarding the internship. Donor stewardship is central to the long-term viability of any and every nonprofit. The Silver Academy Development Internship will build a strong background in areas required for success in a career in nonprofit, __________________________________________________________________________________________ communal work, or business. Course credit may apply. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week up to 25 hours. Schedule is flexible as agreed upon by supervisor and intern. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Hours may include weekday and weekend work. __________________________________________________________________________________________
