Competition surrounds our everyday lives, whether it is in a job interview or beating someone for that last parking lot space. However, few people are fortunate enough to experience competition as part of a team. When your sacrifice and commitment are geared towards achieving something greater than yourself, victory tastes sweeter and defeat becomes easier to swallow. I am forever grateful for the education Oneonta Athletics gave me outside of the classroom. Not only did I feel I was a respected member of a team, but also a part of a family. The friendships I built and the lessons I learned have molded me into the man I am today.
