Coginchaug Little League Board Meeting September 12, 2017
Attendees: Scott Strang, Rick Quirk, Andy Kleczkowski, Joe Fournier, Howie Weissberg, Chris Meisenkothen, Stephanie Berry, Rick Mach, Tom Wamester, Mike Mancini, Steve DeMartino, Krista Lobo, John Leonard Director Reports
Finance (Chris M). $6,179.48 in the League account. Approximately $600 bill outstanding for freezer repair (Durham Fair booth). Approximately $8,000 in Concessions account. Irrigation bill paid through October. Awaiting some outstanding payments from fall ball registrations.
President (Scott Strang) o We may do some tournaments in Fall. o Tryouts coming – October 16 and 20 at Atwell field. We may have some conflicts with CBC. Discussed use of Advanced Sportsplex for a real tryout (vs tennis balls at Lake Grove).
Durham Fair (Rick Quirk). Durham Fair coming soon. Supplies coming Friday, September 15. Inspection Saturday.
Softball (Scott Strang). We will have playoffs with other towns. Scott to float the idea to the other towns in our league. Goal is to get eight teams.
All-Start championship jackets – working on the ordering process.
Elections (Scott Strang). Board elections will be second Tuesday of October. Elections are a general meeting. Any league member in good standing can come and vote. Scott will post a notification on the league web site and request to print in Town Times.
Returning directors should start working on a list of needs. We will also walk fields and look for improvements and potential safety issues. Herzog scoreboard needs to be repaired. Rick Mach will contact possible service companies.
