Collage Class 2-day Supply List (The Dress) Floral collage is a technique where fused, cut motifs are arranged on a foundation within a silhouette to create a one-of-a-kind quilt. Color and value and the use of large, medium and small scale motifs will be achieved in this class. “Painterly” collage focuses on the use of strips and a palette of solid appearing fabrics to create a collage. Combining the two techniques creates an interesting combination for any collage. This is a recommended two-day class. Students must purchase the kit, no exceptions. In the classroom setting I want each student to have a successful experience. Kits and patterns can be found on my website under Collage Kits and Collage Patterns. Please keep in mind as I run out of pictured kits, the colors will vary. Please purchase your kit, patterns and additional supplies from my website, fiberworks-heine.com prior to class. Additional supplies to bring to class: 6 yards of 24” Steam a Seam 2 (no substitutes) Black Sharpie Pen Fabric Fuse Glue 2 yards of Pattern ease foundation Applique Pressing Sheet Karen K Buckley size medium, blue handled scissors Please plan to have your two side borders sewn to the background of your quilt prior to class. That will prevent you from hauling your machine to class. The pattern gives instruction for piecing the borders.
