RAMS IN THE COMMUNITY
olorado State student-athletes realize the impact they have on others around them, even off the court. That’s why each volleyball player participates in some form of volunteer service, ranging from working a youth camp to reading to elementary students. In 2013, recent graduate Michelle Smith even created Rams Care, a community outreach initiative intended to bring every CSU student-athlete together to help the local homeless. After collecting monetary donations at several athletic events, the money was used to buy needed supplies and assemble care packages for members of the homeless community. The event raised more than $3,600.
