Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club/America SCORES Denver Soccer for Success Program Assistant Location: Denver, CO Hours: Salaried, full-time Reports to: Assistant Program Director, Soccer for Success Soccer for Success Program Summary: Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s nationally-recognized free afterschool program that uses soccer as a tool to address children’s health issues and juvenile delinquency, while promoting healthy lifestyles in urban underserved communities.

Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club and America SCORES Denver partnered in 2012 to bring this unique program to children in Denver and Aurora. Since the fall of 2012, the program has expanded from serving 675 students in Denver and Aurora Public Schools, to serving over 1,200 students across four school districts. The Program Assistant will function as part of a team and will work with the Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and Program Administrator to implement all aspects of this afterschool program. Duties and Responsibilities:  Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with target sites , securing facilities to run the program  Assist in the recruitment, hiring and managing of Site Coordinators and Coaches at each site  Assist in the training of Site Coordinators and Coaches to properly deliver all Soccer for Success program components  Work closely with Site Coordinators and Program Administrator to register children at each site  Manage the organization and distribution of equipment for each site including balls, cones, pinnies and uniforms to each child in partnership with Site Coordinators and Coaches  Ensure Soccer for Success curriculum is effectively implemented at each school o 60 minutes of exercise/play, 30 minutes of education on healthy living  Manage the collection of attendance, fitness and evaluation data for program participants, as required by the U.S. Soccer Foundation  Working closely with Assistant Program Director to organize at least one community and family engagement event each season  Attend all necessary trainings as required by the U.S. Soccer Foundation Requirements:  Bilingual in English and Spanish  Bachelor’s Degree

Experience working in the sports based youth development field Excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills Experience working as part of a team
