Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club U9-U10 Staff Coach & Select Team Coach Positions Location: Denver, CO Hours: Contract position Reports to: U4-U10 Director
Job Summary We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic U9 and U10 Staff Trainers and Select Team Coaches to join Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club as independent contractors. Candidates should have a considerable background in both playing and coaching soccer, and be able and willing to communicate with players, parents and technical and administrative club staff. The Rapids Staff Trainer or Select Coach must be able to share his/her passion for soccer and be able to motivate players to improve their skills and performance. He or she must be willing to adopt and teach our Colorado Rapids curriculum and participate in club-sponsored training to learn more about soccer, coaching and our club. Minimum skills and experience:
USSF “E” License (“D” License preferred) or equivalent Experience coaching within the U9-U10 age groups Club and high school playing experience (college playing experience preferred)
The U9-U10 Rapids Staff Trainer and Select Team Coach must be able to demonstrate and teach the skills and techniques of soccer and articulate basic soccer tactics. The right candidate has an outgoing personality, the ability and motivation to work with young players and the desire to work alongside a staff that is focused on effective player development. Staff Trainers will work with teams during the week at centralized locations, with the opportunity to train two teams back to back. Select Team Coaches will train teams during the week at centralized locations, and will coach games on Saturdays. Candidates with lesser qualifications than stated above may join our staff as assistant coaches to gain valuable experience. Requirements
Must be willing to teach our Colorado Rapids curriculum Respond to phone and e-mail communication within 24 hours Abide by organizational guidelines and policies Attend required training sessions provided by Rapids Youth Soccer Must pass a background check
