COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY INTRAMURAL SPORTS GOLF TOURNAMENT RULES ALL CSU IM SPORTS PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO AND ABIDE BY THE IM SPORTS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND CAMPUS RECREATION POLICIES.
I.
ELIGIBILITY – WHO CAN PLAY IM’S? a. HAVE CSU PHOTO ID? YOU CAN PLAY! All participants must show their CSU photo ID in order to play every game. This helps to ensure player eligibility. Please visit the RamCard office’s website to learn about replacements for lost or damaged RamCards. b. FULL-TIME CSU STUDENTS (6 or more credits and have paid the rec activity fee as part of their semester tuition) c. PART-TIME CSU STUDENTS who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play d. FACULTY/STAFF who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play e. SPOUSES who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play f. CSU AFFILIATES who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play g. FORMER VARSITY – A maximum of 1 former college varsity golf athlete is allowed per team (must be removed from the collegiate varsity team roster for a minimum of three academic years).
II.
TOURNAMENT RULES: a. HAVE CSU PHOTO ID? YOU CAN PLAY! All participants must show their CSU photo ID in order to play. This helps to ensure player eligibility. Please visit the RamCard Office’s website to learn about replacement RamCards. b. Men’s, Women’s, and Coed Divisions – This event has men’s, women’s, and coed divisions. Because the three divisions run concurrently, players may only participate in one division. c. ROSTER – 2 golfers make up a full team. This tournament is a scramble event, meaning each golfer will tee off, and the best shot will then be selected. Both golfers will then hit their second shot from that selected shot location, and so on until the ball is holed. d. ADDITIONAL RULES – i. Teams must use at least 5 tee shots from each golfer and indicate whose tee shot was used each hole with that golfer’s initials next to the hole number on the score card. Penalty for not using 5 tee shots from each golfer: A team score of 8 will be given to the lowest hole scores for that team to make up the difference in tee shots for the golfer that has less than 5 tee shots recorded. ii. Men will tee off from the blue. Women will tee off from the red. e. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED AT CSU IM SPORTS EVENTS. Participants are not allowed to consume or be under the influence of alcohol during this event. Your cooperation in maintaining a healthy recreational sports atmosphere that fits within the guidelines and ideology of Campus Recreation and the Division of Student Affairs is greatly appreciated.

III.
WEATHER UPDATES: In cases of inclement weather, intramural staff may have to cancel contests. DO NOT ASSUME GAMES WILL BE CANCELLED. It is the captain’s responsibility to call the IM office at (970) 491-6671 no more than one hour prior to the contest in question for up-to-date information regarding whether or not games have been called off.
