Reports from the Sciath na Scol Finals from Cloghroe and Berrings Cloghroe N.S. Camogie news Congratulations to St.Senan's N.S., Cloghroe who retained their Roinn 1 Camogie title in the Sciath na Scol final. After a busy year of matches, Cloghroe qualified for the final in Páirc Uí Rinn on Tuesday the 27th of May. The girls played in an entertaining match against Scoil Chlochair Mhuire, Carrigtwohill. Cloghroe N.S. claimed the title for the 2nd year running, with a final score line of 9-03 to 0-02. Berrings National School Match Report The girls from Berrings National School were a credit to the school and themselves very well on Tuesday last in Páirc Uí Chaoímh. They fought to the bitter end, showing huge determination and skill but could not overcome the three point difference that separated the teams at the final whistle. Starting the game brightly and with a fierce tempo, Berrings had a huge percentage of the possession but could not capitalize around the goal area. All the forwards hassled and harried but Enniskean’s goalkeeper was outstanding on the day, saving three bullets to deny Berrings scores they needed to gain some momentum and repay all their hard work. Enniskeane, were the physically stronger of the two teams and took their scores at vital times. Miss Hayes, Ann Dineen and the pupils and staff were so proud of this panel, who reached both Sciath na Scol Football and Camogie finals this year. Well Done Girls.
