34th ANNUAL COMET RELAYS GREENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL APRIL 20, 2018 To: Athletic Director and Track Coaches From: Joe Alstat, Greenville High School Athletic Director Date: Friday, April 20th 3:30 p.m. Teams Invited: Greenville, Hillsboro, Mater Dei, Nashville, Pana, Staunton, and Vandalia Coaches meeting: 3:30 p.m. LOCATION: Bullpen Area Field Events: 3:45 p.m. Running Events: 4:30 p.m. 1. Location: Don Stout Field, just south of Greenville High School 2. Entry fee: $100 per school. Please send checks to Joe Alstat at GHS 3. Entries: Field events are limited to 2 entries per school (the best attempt from each participant will be combined for the relay). 4. Relays are limited to 1 team per school. Each participant limited to 4 events. 5. Awards: 1st place Girls team plaque, 1st place boys team plaque 6. Individual awards: MEDALS for 1st place, ribbons for 2nd-3rd place. 7. Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1 8. Time Limit: In the Long Jump, Shot Put and Discus, 45 minutes will be allowed to complete the 3 attempts. 9. Track: The track is an 8 lane, All-weather track and requires 3/16” spikes. 10. Concessions: A concession stand will be available. Restrooms and concessions can be located in the northwest building by the main entrance. 11. Camps: Please inform your athletes to stay off the football field. Camps must be made outside the fence. Please no spikes in the bleachers. Questions??
