Education & Leadership Teen Programs
Teen Education & Leadership Community Leaders Team A free year round program for those aged 13-18 We believe that those involved in our Community Leaders Team learn the value of volunteerism, community service, teaching and role modeling for younger children. During the school year, those who volunteer in our After School programs motivate and support young children aged 5-12 years old in building character, developing new skills and building relationships that lead to positive behaviors & good life choices. Community Leaders interact with children and support our staff. They develop confidence, social skills, life and job skills through teaching, coaching, role modeling our core values and working with children. If you have community service hours requirements for school, a club or local organization or just want to be a part of our team come join us. Leaders In Training A summer program at Camp Greylock and Burlington for those aged 13-15. We believe as an LIT you will gain life skills and experience while being a role model to others. The opportunity to teach younger children, manage time and resources, lead recreational activities, and develop social skills and confidence is how we empower every teen toward success. Each summer we offer four, two weekly sessions at Camp Greylock and our Burlington location. Through job skill and leadership training our LIT program includes initial training time with staff and peers to prepare you to work with campers and staff. All LIT’s work with camp counselors to put into practice skills they are learning. Often times they are assigned to one group where they can spend time acclimating to the group and growing as a leader. Interested teens must submit an application packet (available online) and interview for this program. The cost for this program is $200 per session (2 weeks). Scholarships are available.
