The Community News Report Thursday 22nd April 2010 Welcome and good afternoon form The St Lawrence Academy Community News team on Thursday 22nd April I am George Musgrave and this is Dominic Howsham with the year 10 community news Special.
Eco Warriors SUFC has just awarded the Cape Farewell group with a cheque for £666 from their community shield funding. This will help the group to continue their work with students, feeder schools and the community. Today is Earth Day which is perfect timing for boost for the group.
Young Enterprise Tonight we have the Year 8 final judging, the news will be hot on the press next week.
YR9 Careers Week This is all week and they have had information about what they can do after they leave the academy which may help their upcoming options choices. Thank you to North Lindsey College for your support with this.
Family House Challenge Thursday 29th April from 2.40pm
Next Thursday students are inviting family member in the academy to help them earn house points. Students can only participate with the help of an adult family member doing Walk a mile, new age curling, X bikes. ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALENGE????
YR10 Prefect Training Today and Tomorrow our new prefects are being trained so we have the best prefect team. We look forward to seeing you in your new roles year 10!!! See our Interview with the trainers CLASS ACT Lauren Potts is through to the final of class act and we wish Chloe Drury best of luck for next Thurs. Hopefully we will have 2 students in the final cos the Academy has talent
Sporting News -Fantasy Football League What have you been doing 11E & Mrs Barnes gaining the wooden spoon. Maybe you need tips from 7G or Mr Howbridge our managers of the week.

with Kamrul Islam What a lovely bright and sunny day today however it is windy with gusts of up to 19 mph. Tomorrow remains dry and bright but still windy which will be much the same for the weekend.
