Configuring eduroam on Mac OS X 10.6+ This will explain how to configure Mac OS X 10.6 & 10.7 (Snow Leopard & Lion). This example is assuming you are running Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 with a working AirPort card installed and turned on. 1. Click on the AirPort icon in the upper right hand corner and make sure AirPort is turned on. (Note: If you do not see an AirPort icon in your menu bar, you may have this icon disabled under System Preferences.) 2. eduroam should appear as an available network. Click on eduroam to proceed.

3. A dialog box should pop up requesting your credentials to connect to the network. a. Enter your network account username with suffix “@wlu.ca” and password. With the “@wlu.ca” suffix, you can use your Laurier credentials to connect to the wireless network at other institutions who are the members of eduroam, eg: University of Waterloo. b. Leave 802.1X (Snow Leopard) or Mode (Lion) set to Automatic. c. Check Remember this network and click OK.

4. Next you will be prompted to accept the certificate. If you would like more details on the certificate, click Show Certificate. Otherwise, click Continue. Make sure the certificate server name being presented is "eduroam.wlu.ca".

a. Accepting the certificate may require you to enter your Mac OS X user account password to allow this action.

5. You should now be connected to eduroam. Click on the AirPort icon again and look for a check next to eduroam. This means you are connected to the network.
