Configuring eduroam on Windows 8/8.1 This will explain how to configure eduroam on a Windows 8 or 8.1 device. 1. Open the right hand menu (the charms bar) and click on ‘Settings’.
2. Click on the network icon at the bottom.
3. You should see a listing of networks (specifically "eduroam" at least). 4. Click on "eduroam". Ensure that "Connect automatically" is checked and click the "Connect" button. ITS 2014

5. The next prompt will ask for your credentials. This is your Network username with the suffix @wlu.ca, and password. With the “@wlu.ca” suffix, you can use your Laurier credentials to connect to the wireless network at other institutions who are member of eduroam, eg: University of Waterloo.

6. After entering your credentials, you will receive a warning explaining that the security certificate cannot be verified.
a. Click the "Connect" button. (You might be prompted for credential again if you didn’t click the connect quickly enough)
7. Verify your connection to "eduroam" by clicking on the wireless icon on the charms bar.
