Tom Campbell called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm. Devotions Jeff Mason shared a devotion on Max Lucado’s book, Just Like Jesus. He talked about how we are to work with God, rather than work for God. Learning Time: Executive Committee from Alleluia Lutheran Pastor Bruce and some of the Council members from Alleluia joined us for the Council meeting and shared some thoughts and desires they have for working collaboratively with Lord of Life for the growth of their church. One of the needs is Peter’s assistance with the call process for a new long-term pastor for Alleluia. There have been multiple pastors over the last 5-7 years, and Pastor Bruce is an interim pastor. There is a desire for mentorship and coaching from Lord of Life personnel to Alleluia personnel to help set up systems and structure for moving the congregation forward. Assistance with the financial structure is one of the first types of help that Lord of Life can likely provide. A motion was made by Lisa Gedker, seconded by Laura Dirks for Lord of Life to work with the people of Alleluia Church to support the growth and direction of their church and ministry, in a manner and timeframe to be determined as mutually acceptable. Motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
