Consultations There were a number of consultations closing in March before the Mayoral election. A big thank you to all who took part. With the mayoral election only just having taken place, there is now a bit of a break from consultations. The next one will be the A1010 North section of Cycle Enfield.
A105 scheme update On Thursday 19th May the council presented their revised plans for the A105 section of Cycle Enfield at Palmers Green Library. Our full response to the revised plans is on our website. There have been multiple changes to the plans as a result of the consultation and traffic modelling. One of the most exciting changes is the introduction of a new style of junction at Winchmore Hill. The junction is very similar to the continental “simultaneous green” model and allows more cyclists to be able to move at once. There are also some detailed co-design workshops coming up to allow people contribute to the design of a lot of the public realm improvements that are part of the scheme. We’re hoping some of our members will be selected to attend.
London Cycling Awards Our new borough coordinator Clare Rogers was a finalist for the Campaigner of the Year award at the London Cycling Awards. A group from Enfield went along to the event at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane to support Clare at the event. Clare received a special mention for her brilliant campaigning this year. More information about the awards can be found at http://lcc.org.uk/ articles/2016awards.

There were a number of interesting speakers presenting evidence about the health, economic and transport benefits of cycling.
