Accepted Teams:

ENTRY INFORMATION Invited NCAA Division 1 Teams are eligible to compete by notifying the meet director.

Entry Procedure:

Submit initial entries at www.directathletics.com by Tuesday, April 10 at 12pm CT.

Confirmation:

Perf lists are distributed Tuesday afternoon. Coaches may make corrections/changes at www.directathletics.com until the final deadline on Wednesday, April 11 at 12pm CT. Heat/flight sheets are assembled and distributed Thursday.

Entry Limits:

Teams are allowed 4 entries per individual event and 2 relay teams. Additionally, teams can enter up to 5 “wildcard” entries as field sizes permit. Wildcard entries must be emailed to the meet director. Field size will be restricted to 24 in LJ/TJ/WT/DT/SP and 16 in Javelin based on the verified performance list.

Individual College Entries: Individual collegiate entries competitive nationally within the corresponding division are accepted by contacting the meet director. A $20 entry fee per athlete is required. Unattached Entries: Unattached collegiate/post-collegiate entries are required to contact the meet director prior to entry and submit proof of performance meeting recommended performance standards listed on the last page of this document OR be affiliated with one of the competing teams. UNA entries not confirmed by the meet director are scratched from the meet with no refund granted. After approval from the meet director, UNA entries may enter online at www.directathletics.com through individual accounts no later than the final 12pm deadline on Wednesday, April 11. UNA entries are NOT guaranteed preferred heats or lanes. A $20 entry fee is required when entering online. NO REFUNDS.

TEAM INFORMATION Team Entry Fee:

$300 per gendered program. Checks payable to the “University of Illinois.” If mailing, send to: University of Illinois – DIA; c/o Eric Vetter; 1700 South 4th Street; Champaign, IL 61820.

Team Packets:

Available at the moving truck in the southwest corner of the track.

Scoring:

NCAA Division 1 teams scored per Rule 7 Section 1 based on number of teams competing. All individual entries are eligible to score. Only 1 relay team scores.

Field Event Finals:

Top 9 advance to reverse order final regardless of affiliation. NCAA Rule 6-2.7 applies.

Hip Numbers:

Hip number check-in is at the dug-out near the scoreboard on the south end of the facility. Races are clerked at the corresponding start line.

Bib Numbers:

Bib numbers are to be worn on the front for all events except the pole vault.

Relay Cards:

Relay cards should be turned in to the hip number table at relay team check-in. Relay cards are available in the team packet and hip number table.

Weights & Measures: All implements are weighed and inspected on the east side of the throwing area next to the Atkins Tennis Center.

Running Direction:

If the weather warrants and technology allows, the 100m/100h/110h/200m will run in reverse direction with the wind.

Results:

Live results are available during the meet at www.fightingillini.com/track/livestats. Results are posted on the moving truck in the southwest corner of the facility.

Sports Medicine:

Athletic trainers are available on the north end of the facility near the steeplechase pit.

Team camps:

Teams should set camps on the bleachers or grassy areas on the backstretch of the track.

Restricted areas:

All spectators, athletes, and coaches should stay off the infield grass throughout the competition with the exception of competitors in field events occurring on the infield. The infield pole vault area may be used as a warm-up area if not used for pole vault.

Indoor track access: The Armory Track & Floor is available for indoor warm-up all day Saturday. Enter through the southwest corner.

GENERAL INFORMATION Baseball Overlap:

The Illinois Baseball team plays Rutgers at 3pm in neighboring Illinois Field.

Spectator Admission: Admission for spectators is free. Spectators are allowed to enter any gate. Concessions:

Concessions are sold in the baseball stadium.

Restrooms:

Portable toilets surrounding the facility are the primary facilities at the track. Restrooms at the baseball facility are also available. No showers are available due to the other athletic events taking place in surrounding venues.

Bus Parking:

Team buses should drop athletes off at the Track Stadium and proceed to park at the Veterinary Medicine lot south of St. Mary’s Rd on Lincoln Ave. (1870 South Lincoln Ave).

General Parking:

Weather permitting, the grass lot off Kirby Ave. west of Illinois Field (baseball) is available for parking. State Farm Center paved parking lots are available if no overlapping event.
