Colgate Basketball Kiddie Camp is for BOYS and GIRLS ages 4-7. Camp will be held in Cotterell Court in Reid Athletic Center. Camp will run Monday-Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm. Please fill out the form below, with the medical information, and return with your check or money order made out to Colgate University. Send to:

COST The cost of camp is $30 per camper. Each camper can reserve his/her place in camp with a $10 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable after July 28th. The balance shall be paid at registration.
REGISTRATION Registration will begin at 4:45pm each evening. We will accept campers that have not pre-registered on Monday, August 3rd.
MEDICAL INFORMATION Parental Permit The law requires that parental permission be obtained for operative procedures on minors. The following consent form should be signed by the parents so that such proceedings may be promptly carried out, and so that no unnecessary delays will occur with operative procedures. However, no operation will be performed, except emergency, without parents being contacted and fully informed. I give permission for such diagnostic, therapeutic, and operative procedures as may be deemed necessary for my child. Relationship: Emergency (if parents can’t be reached):

CAMP INFORMATION Campers at the Colgate Basketball Kiddie Camp will be introduced to the most basic basketball fundamentals through station work, games, and other basketball related activities. Campers will work directly with Colgate Coaches, Players, and Support Staff in a fun filled and action packed 3 evenings. Camp will conclude on Wednesday, August 5th with a brief awards ceremony. Campers will receive a Colgate Basketball T-shirt.

Matt Langel Head Basketball Coach Colgate University
Kiddie Camp
Coach Langel led the Raiders to a second-place Patriot League finish in 2014-15 with a 12-6 mark. Those 12 wins set a program best. Colgate has improved its win total each of Coach Langel’s four seasons at the helm. Langel came to Colgate after spending five seasons as an assistant coach at Temple University (2006-11). While at Temple, Langel worked under the tutelage of Fran Dunphy, who is one of the all-time winningest coaches in Philadelphia Big 5 history and has twice been named Eastern College Coach of the Year after guiding the Owls to their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Langel was also a two-year member of Dunphy’s Penn staff where he helped guide his alma mater to two consecutive Ivy League Championships. Langel etched his name in the Penn record books in several different categories. He is a member of the 1000 point club with 1,191 points in a Red and Blue uniform. He stands second all-time in Penn basketball history in three-pointers made in a game with eight, is eighth in three-pointers made in a season with 70, and fourth in career three pointers made with 201. Upon graduation, Langel was drafted by Atlantic City of the USBL in 2000 and worked out in the Seattle SuperSonics camp. He then went oveseas to play professionally in Europe, for Chene BC in Switzzerland and ALM Evreux Basket in France Pro A.
