Cut up and sew It’s taken us 3 Years, but we are proud to say we’re finally getting our First Newsletter published. After your read this, remember we do have a suggestion box. Your suggestions of what you like or not is what’s important to us...Just sayin! I would like to give you a little update on what’s happened in our first three years. We have a growing customer base that we call our Cut up and Sew “Family”, and we were so thrilled when we hit our 1000 “Likes” on Facebook.
Our customers participated in “Days for Girls” and I’m sure it will make you smile when you look at this picture from the Children in Guatemala thanking Us for sending the Kits we made to their families. And again this Christmas You were so generous with your time and help with “Project Warm”, seeing to it that ninety ladies and their children had a wonderful Christmas. We also had great participation in the “Relay for Life” booth. We remember when we opened our first year thinking “How will we ever fill this big building?” Before the year was up we purchased the unit next door and opened it up to the shop. Now our best news...we still needed more room. My Husband (aka $Bill) said “Ok one more time”. We purchased the unit next door for another classroom. But our real dream was to have a “Retreat Center” that we could have large events, and have available for our customers to rent for a day or even a three day retreat with their friends. You know, sew til midnight-Eat pizza—and just have some fun with friends. It will be equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. Did I mention 25 six foot tables so you have plenty of room… The first three day event will be for my employees (and I’m so blessed to have the best), we’re having our own Mexican Fiesta Sew-In. I am planning a few surprises for them because...well… because they deserve it!
SAVE THE DATE: 2/11: Cut Up And Show 2-17 Random acts of kindness day 2-24 Cup Cake Day 2-28 “FAT TUESDAY” 3/2 & 3/3: Penny Haren/Creative Grids 3-12—3-15 Paper Palooza with Barb Linares 3-19 “Fit Doctor” Judy Kessinger Event
Because we now have three classrooms, we needed our very own ‘Event Planner’. Please stop in and ask for Terri (Terri Cross) and welcome her. She has been working so hard since she got here (the reason we now have a Quarterly Newsletter.) Also give a big welcome to the behind the scenes Office Manager Anita. She runs a tight ship and has gotten us all in line and we love her for it. I Look forward to seeing you soon.
