Daniel 8 - Study Guide Watch the Glorious Land Scripture Summary The vision that Daniel describes in chapter 8 is estimated to have taken place around the year 551 B.C. Daniel tells us in verse 1 that this was in the 3rd year of Belshazzar. This is approximately 11 years after Nebuchadnezzar’s death and 12 years from the fall of Babylon. Chronologically, the events described in chapter 8 of Daniel actually took place somewhere between chapters 4 and 5. Basic Outline 1. Seeing into the future (1-2) 2. The Ram (3-4) 3. 1. What captured your attention most from Daniel chapter 8? 2. Daniel records chapters 2-7 in Aramaic, the common language of the day. However, chapter 8 and throughout the rest of the book is written in Hebrew. What does this communicate about the events described in chapter 8 and throughout the rest of the book?

3. Take some time talking through all the connections between all three visions (Chapter 2, Chapter 7 and Chapter 8). Be sure to understand the timeline of events.

4. Point out the similarities and the differences between the “little horn” in chapter 7 and the “little horn” in chapter 8?
