or the second time this year, the Clipper was proclaimed the top weekly newspaper in statewide competition. The most recent honor came June 16 when the Clipper was named “Best Newspaper” among Utah weeklies by the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. The Clipper earned 10 awards (shown on this page) in its first-ever participation in this competition. Previously in March 2006, the Clipper earned the “General Excellence” award from the Utah Press Association, its highest honor for overall quality. The Clipper also earned top honors from the Utah Press Association in March 2005.
