Davis Lacrosse Association Board Meeting April 8, 2015 7-9 pm Board Members Present: Dan MacNamara, Mark Soeth, Suzanne Isidor, Dan Russo, Kendra Hutchinson, Tom Qvistgaard, Dina Allison, Aaron Difuntorum Absent: March Board Meeting minutes reviewed and approved.
Board Positions: Mark Reno is currently Coaching Coordinator position. Will be looking for replacement for next year.
Team Name: discussion of change from “Knights” to “Davis Lacrosse”
Finance update: reviewed by TQ Funding available for new uniforms for Spring 2016
Equipment update: discussed by AD 1. Thicker nets to be ordered 2. Spring gear to be collected and delivered to his home
Uniform update: discussed by DA Anticipate ordering uniforms for boys and girls during this coming Fall, to have for Spring 2016 -girls: shorts, tips, pinnies -boys: pinnies, jersey (pinny style with shooter shirt), shorts (players to keep shooter shirt).
Girls update: discussed by SI 1. Camp to be held week of 8/3/15 at Chavez Elementary School 2. To provide pinnies to participants.
Boys update: discussed DR 1. Spring wrap up: U11 parents did not like 7v7 format, otherwise Spring season was success. 2. Camp to be held 6/29-7/2/15 at DHS Stadium
HS update: 1. Discussed by MR Discussion with DHS Athletic Director regarding coaching program for HS coaches (youth coaches would participate in same program) 2. Discussed “Buddy” (or Mentor) program between youth and HS players
Elementary School Program: Discussed US Lacrosse curriculum which could be taught to interested teachers in DJUSD elementary schools. DA to look into grant options for funding.
Next meeting date: Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 7 pm at Sudwerk NCJLA wrap-up meeting on 6/13/15
