D e fin it ion – Fo u ls / Of fense “Direct and indirect free kicks (Law XIII) and penalty kicks (Law XIV) can only be awarded for fouls and misconduct offenses committed whilst the ball is in play.” Although Foul is common usage, the new laws of the game typically refer to all incidents as “offenses.” For purpose of this session, fouls are just a more “narrow” category of offenses.

I F K O f fe ns e s – 8 Tota l What are the Six (6) IFK Offenses by Any Player? A. Plays in a dangerous manner (i.e. Dangerous Play) B. Restrictions on Deliberate Heading of the Ball (8U and 10U) C. Slide Tackle from Behind with NO CONTACT D. Charging Fairly (rare)
E. Impedes the progress of an opponent without contact (i.e.
Obstruction) F. Interfering with the Goalkeeper while either (a) in possession of the ball, or (b) while the GK is in their own Goal Area.
