[email protected] Decatur Postcards Project 2015 Here’s how it works: We encourage a range of creative media – not limited to photography. A jury of local artists and community leaders will select up to ten images of Decatur for a set of classic tourist-style postcards. You may be asked to bring in your original work. Each selected artist receives a $150 honorarium and a credit line on the reverse side of his/her printed card, along with the satisfaction of having printed artwork that will travel the world. The 2015 postcards will be available during the Decatur Arts Festival. All postcard sale proceeds benefit programs of the Decatur Arts Alliance. Guidelines and how to submit your artwork:

Remember that your image of Decatur will be scaled down to fit on a card format that measures 5.5906 w x 4.3307 h and trims to 5.47 w x 4.21 h. To ensure quality printing results, you must provide a high resolution JPG or PDF file. This file will be quite large, 1 MB or more in size. We can accept files via email up to 10 MB in size. Larger files should be submitted on CD. Files smaller than 500K will likely fall short of the resolution needed for quality printing results. Submissions are due by Friday, March 27, 2015. If your image includes people (recognizable close-ups or portraits), you must include a signed release form from each person depicted granting you permission to use his/her likeness and indicating an understanding of your work’s purpose and its potential for commercial distribution.
