Declaration of Major / Minor Form (Matriculating Spring 2016 or before)
Students should declare a major and minor and select a major advisor by the end of their first sophomore semester. Students with 48 or more semester credit hours posted to their Allegheny transcripts will not be permitted to register for the next semester until they have submitted a completed declaration form to the Registrar’s Office. Please note that any changes to your anticipated graduation date MUST be made in writing to the Registrar’s Office. Graduation Major and Graduation Minor must be in different divisions (Humanities, Natural Science, or Social Science) OR one or the other must be Interdivisional. No "double-counting" of courses is permitted between the graduation major and the graduation minor. In addition, every major must include at least 20 credits that do not count for any other major or minor. Every minor must include at least 12 credits that do not count for any other major or minor.
