John Rouse called the meeting to order at 3:45 p.m. and welcomed committee members. AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Welcome Members
2. Approve February 22, 2017 Minutes Corrections: NONE Motion made by: Jennifer Melton Motion seconded by: Randell Wellman Motion: Carrried
3. Community Engagement • Gave committee copies of the “RISD Engagement Ratings for 2017” for each campus. District ratings will come from campus ratings. Next year, Mrs. Johnson will present a new rubric.
4. District Plan • Jennifer Johnson went over the plan, she will continue to update it. • She asked the committee for input on needs assessment • This plan is just a “DRAFT” • Several changes were made as we went over the plan • Committee approved taking this plan to the Board Motion made by: Alisha Jaeger Motion seconded by: Michele Potts Motion: Carried 5. DEIC Survey • Evaluation was given to each committee member • Jennifer Johnson asked everyone to complete 6. Legislative Update • Mr. Rouse gave an update on the current 85th Legislative Session • Mr. Rouse met with our legislators and addressed: (a) Finance (b) A-F Ratings (c) School Choice (d) Testing 7. Comments & Questions • Angie Trull had questions about building campus plans • Campus plans will go before board in July Motion to adjourn: Motion made by: Jan Elmore Motion seconded by: Michele Potts Motion: Passed Meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m. Next Meeting- August 2017
