Day 1: Preparing for Breakthrough Scripture Reading: Joshua 3:5; Joel 2:12-17
Reflection: • What does it mean to consecrate yourself to the Lord? (see Joshua 3:5) • What amazing things are you longing for God to do in your life? • Write down the top 2 or 3 breakthroughs you’re trusting God for during this next year. Prayer: Ask God to reveal any area of your life that is not fully consecrated to Him! Offer it to Him!
Day 2: Faith: Focusing on God’s Sufficiency Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:1-6
Reflection: • According to Hebrews 11:6, how important is faith for our breakthroughs? • What 2 things must be present if one is walking by faith? • According to Joshua 1:9, what is to be the basis for our courage as we pursue the breakthroughs God wants to give us? Prayer: Thank God for the sufficiency of His power and presence in your life.
Day 3: Faith: Affirming God’s Promises Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:20; 2 Peter 1:3-4
Reflection: • According to 2 Peter 1:4, why has God given us His promises? • What does it mean that every promise God has made is “yes” in Christ? • What promises are you asking God to fulfill in your life? Prayer: Thank God for His promises and how He is fulfilling those in your life.
Day 4: Faith: Initiating Action
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:7-12; James 2:14-26 Reflection: • What did Noah and Abraham do because of their faith? • According to James 2:18-26, how important is it that we take action if we have faith? • What steps of action can you take in the direction of the breakthrough you’re hoping for? Prayer: Ask God to give you strategic action steps to take towards your breakthrough.
Day 5: Faith: Tuning Out Fear, Discouragement and Failure Scripture Reading: Joshua 1:6-9
Reflection: • What command do you find repeated in these verses? • What’s your greatest fear in believing God for the breakthrough you desire? • What’s your plan for dealing with discouragement on your bad days? Prayer: Give God your fears and anything that might side track you from success.
Day 6: Faith: Hanging on until Victory is Won Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1-3; Galatians 6:9
Reflection: • How important is perseverance to success? • Have you ever given up pursuing something you really wanted? • What is your breakthrough plan for not giving up this time?
