Property An impressive detached five bedroom period home found in a sought-after Cliftonville location close to the beach and cliff top walks. This delightful home has been well-maintained and provides spacious and well-proportioned living accommodation and boasts three reception rooms plus a large kitchen/breakfast room. To the first floor, two of the bedrooms boast ensuite facilities, there is a family bathroom and an additional shower room. The property boasts many attractive features including leaded light windows and attractive fireplaces. Standing on a good-sized plot there is a carriage driveway to the front providing off street parking for numerous vehicles and a single attached garage. The walled rear garden is laid mainly to lawn with a variety of trees, plants and shrubs and has a secluded patio/barbeque area. Local shops and primary schools are within easy reach, as to are the seaside towns of Margate and Broadstairs being approximately 1.5 and 3 miles away respectively. Both towns have a mainline railway station providing a regular service to London.

Our Time Here It was the size of the house that first attracted us to the property with 5 double bedrooms. We also liked the bright and spacious atmosphere along with the location of the house, being very close to the sandy beach and promenade at Walpole Bay. My favourite room is probably the kitchen with its large range cooker and larder, the room is spacious enough to have a dining table and is ideal if you love cooking and company! It’s a great house for socialising, made even easier by the in-out drive, where we have parked five cars effortlessly. One of the aspects of the house that we liked most was its position on the right side of the road to benefit from morning sun in the front, with sunshine in the rear garden for the rest of the day. There are some truly spectacular sunsets in the area, being so close to the skies that inspired Turner so much. We love the fact that we can walk to the end of the road and turn left to easily stroll into Margate for a few drinks; or right and walk along the coast past Kingsgate Castle and North Foreland Lighthouse into Broadstairs. We are definitely going to miss the spacious feel of this house and the sheer amount of storage that it offers: with the cellar, garage, full-sized loft, pantry etc. We will definitely be staying in the area as we love it here so much.
