EL DORADO COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION CLASS SPECIFICATION
CLASS TITLE: Director of District and Program Support Job Purpose Statement: Under the general direction of the Senior Director, Curriculum Instruction and Accountability, plan, organize, coordinate and deliver professional development programs and services for El Dorado County Office of Education school districts and programs that support the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) process, including the CCSS, curriculum, assessment, instructional strategies for all students, teacher evaluation and school leadership. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Direct, develop and deliver professional development including teacher training and administrator training to support the implementation of district and County Office LCAPs, including the CCSS and SBAC. Direct, develop and deliver professional development including teacher training and administrator training in a variety of effective instruction including, instructional technology, strategies to support English Learners and special populations. Direct, develop and deliver professional development for administrators, including teacher evaluation to promote professional growth and school leadership. Communicate with administrators, school district and County Office personnel to coordinate professional development activities and programs. Facilitate and schedule EDCOE coordinators and trainers for district and County Office trainings and instructional coaching. Plan and participate in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform duties. Maintain procedures to evaluate professional development activities and make modifications as appropriate. Research a variety of information (e.g. courses, materials, training consultants, etc.) for the purpose of developing new programs that meet county and district training needs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Planning, organization and direction of standards and curriculum development, implementation, assessment/alignment, and evaluation Current instructional techniques and materials, e.g. frameworks, instructional technology, ELD/SDAIE, etc. Principles and practices of administration, supervision and training EDCOE organization, operations, policies and objectives Interpersonal skills to include collaboration, team building, and decision-making Oral and written communication skills ABILITY TO: Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Plan, organize and coordinate comprehensive curriculum, assessment, instruction, development, staff development and special projects Prioritize and schedule work Meet schedules and time lines Work independently with little direction Prepare and deliver oral presentations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: master's degree in education and five years curriculum, staff development and educational leadership experience.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Teaching Credential and Administrative Services Credential; valid California driver's license; TB test clearance; Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance.
WORKING CONDITIONS: ENVIRONMENT: Is subject to inside environmental conditions; subject to driving to conduct work.
