Dishes Quilt (67” x 79”) Dates: Mondays, January 15th & 29th, 2018 Experience: Intermediate/confident beginner Teacher: Heidi Theriault
Time: 10-12 or 6-8 Fee: $40.00
Class Description: Make a fun, unique quilt using different sized arcs to complete your “set of dishes”. You will no longer be intimidated by piecing curved edges!!! Supplies Needed Dishes Pattern (CTH#101917) 1 – 10” Layer Cake or (42)-10” Squares of your choice of prints 2 yards background material (I used 2 colors for my background 1 yard of each) 1 - 1/2 border material 1/3 yard first border* (optional: I did a narrow inner border, which the pattern did not call for) 2/3 yard binding material 5 yards backing material Batting –approximately 75 x 84 (Double) Creative Grids Circle Savvy Ruler* (CTH #10917) *Highly recommended!! OR use Template Plastic (CTH#882670051)
Other Supplies Creative Grids 6 ½” x 12 ½” Ruler (CTH#560057) Creative Grids 9 ½” square ruler (CTH#560058) Cutting Mat and rotary cutter with new sharp blade Pins Sewing machine in good working order with new Universal 80/12 needle (CTH#402113) or for batiks 70/10 needle (CTH# 400375) ¼ Inch foot for your machine Seam ripper Thread to match (for piecing) Optional but always nice to have – travel or regular sized iron and ironing mat) Pre Class Work Please read through your pattern to familiarize yourself.
