This presentation examines today’s U.S. metalcasting industry, providing information on size and stature by metal, process and value-added capabilities. In addition, a review of the forecast for casting shipments through 2016 will be shared.

Robert Mueller, P&H Mining; Bruce Willson, O’Fallon Casting This session will review the aspects of casting design that will affect cost, lead times and availability. The presenters also will discuss how utilizing the casting process can help ease supply chain hassles through part consolidation and the advantages of concurrent engineering.

Various materials and casting processes will be highlighted.
