Let’s hear it from our Principal Dear Allen Creek Families,
1st: All School BBQ
LINEA DE INFORMACION DE ESCUELAS EN ESPAÑOL (360)965-0254
As we near the end of the 2016-2017 school year, the Allen Creek staff would like to thank you for entrusting us with your precious children every day. Together we have worked to help all of our Allen Creek students grow and flourish. We have a wonderful bunch of students and families and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with each of you every day. It is with mixed emotions that I announce the next bit of Allen Creek news...We have three teachers who have made the difficult decision to retire. Mrs. Ginny Thorvilson, current 2nd grade teacher, Teresa Imanishi-Anderson 3rd grade teacher and Cindy Armstrong, 5th grade teacher, will all be
retiring at the conclusion of the school year. Mrs. Thorvilson and Mrs. Armstrong have been at Allen Creek since its opening in 1993 and Mrs. Imanishi-Anderson has been at Allen Creek since 1994. They will be hard to replace but we wish them all the best after their long and dedicated careers in educationespecially their service to our Allen Creek students and families. We hope they find time to relax and pursue new passions in their retirement. I would like to encourage anyone who has had the opportunity to know these wonderful educators to write them a note or email to let them know how they have impacted your child’s education. Allen Creek will miss Mrs. Thorvilson, Mrs. Imanishi-Anderson and Mrs. Armstrong...Happy Retirement!
At Allen Creek the success of our students is a result of a collaborative community; students, staff, families and volunteers all working together to make Allen Creek a great place to come to learn and laugh every day. We are already looking ahead and making great plans for our next school year. The Allen Creek staff would like to wish all families a great summer together...don’t forget to keep those literacy and math skills sharp over the summer (see information in this newsletter about summer library opportunities)! Warm Regards, Janelle McFalls
