SET‐UP & PARKING: There is very little equipment to take. Saturday morning setup will begin @ 6:30 AM before the meet at Klein Collins pool. Equipment help gets 2 times the amount of time you actually work – SO, come help with SETUP and TAKE DOWN Saturday. Take Down: We don’t really have any equipment to take down, other than concessions. We simply ask that parents start to consolidate or pack their stuff when butterfly (event 61 ‐ 70) is in the water. AWARDS: Individual events – Medals 1st‐8th place Ribbons 9th‐16th place Relays – 1st‐6th place OTHER INFORMATION: No coolers or chairs in the pool area– parents need to park at the CBST designated area. Pool seating will be come and go. Watch your swimmer and leave the area.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION A sign‐up sheet will be available for you to complete the day of the meet. We ask that everyone report for their shift early so that we can ensure everyone is ready to work. Please don’t let Concord Bridge volunteers hold up the meet! Please make sure to sign up to volunteer, especially if you need hours! Priority sign‐up will be given to those that need volunteer hours. It takes a great deal of effort to put together a meet of this size. It takes a full team of parents to make it flow effortlessly. If someone asks you to help out, please do so. We would all LOVE to “rest”, but we do this for our kids. We do not want them to suffer from a poorly organized event.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT ON THIS MEET?? DIVISIONAL T‐SHIRTS There will be a small supply of divisional t‐shirts available at the meet. Stop by the shirt table to get your divisional tee. RELAYS Each team can only submit an A relay. There will be NO B or C relays as in regular dual meets. READY BENCH SCRATCHES IMPORTANT NOTE: A swimmer will be scratched from an event if they are not on the ready benches by the time their heat moves to the last bench before going to the chairs. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMERS! All swimmers must immediately report to the ready bench area when their event number is called and must stay in the ready bench area until it is their time to swim. ELIGIBLITY NWAL rules state that you must have attended ONE dual meet to participate in the divisional meet.
GO DOLPHINS!!
NOTE FROM COACH

Now that summer is here, he expects to see all his swimmers at practice. Swimmers that are unable to make practice should provide a reason, otherwise they will not be entered into the next meet.
INDOOR SET‐UP, WHAT TO DO… 1 Drink lots of liquids Make sure that you drink eight to ten glasses of water daily. Drink plenty of water regularly and often even if you do not feel thirsty. Your body needs water to keep cool. Avoid drinks with alcohol or caffeine in them. They can make you feel good briefly but make the heat's effects on your body worse. Energy drinks like 100 plus and Gatorade are good alternatives to water. 2 Stay warm It is usually COLD at indoor set‐up. Make sure the kids have long pants and a blanket if they want to keep warm between events. 3 Eat small meals Eat small meals and eat more often. Avoid foods that are high in protein which increase metabolic heat. 4 Eat fruit It is a good time to eat fruit‐based meals. Try making fruit salads with different chopped fruits thrown in a bowl. 5 Eat light meals During hot months, foods like Caesar salad and sandwiches with plenty of tomatoes and leafy vegetables add to water intake. And they are better food choices than heavy meals like chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and sausage‐on‐the‐stick. 6 Protect your feet Wear foot protection. Many times, people's feet can get cold from coming out of a cold pool, and going into a cold cafeteria. 7 Relax You need to relax as much as possible during the day. Please try to remain under shade when not swimming or watching events at pool. Take regular breaks when engaged in physical activity. Try to keep the kids from extracurricular activities (Basketball, football, soccer, playground, etc…) Remember, have fun, but stay cool!
2017 RAFFLE Raffle Calling all swimmers to help the team sell raffle tickets for the 2017 raffle. We are extremely excited about all the wonderful prizes. Raffle Tickets are $5 for one ticket or $20 for five tickets. The drawing will be held at the end of year party, so this is the last week to be able to accept raffle sales.
END OF YEAR PARTY Do you need hours?? Are you good at organizing events?? You can get hours by planning this year’s end of year party. The ideal candidate is a returning family that has participated in the past, and has an idea how it flows.
INVITATIONALS Invitational meets are special meets held during the month of June/July that are hosted by various swim clubs. In order to attend one of these meets, a swimmer must have a time in an event that meets the qualification of the club hosting the meet. As in the past, the CBST has again chosen to attend the following meets this year:
RED, WHITE AND BLUE June 23 – 25, 2017 @ Klein Collins High School 20811 Ella Boulevard, Spring, TX 77388 Registration deadline June 17 @ Divisionals.
PONDEROSA June 24 – 25, 2017 @ Klein Oak High School, 22603 Northcrest Dr., Spring, TX 77389 Registration deadline June 17 @ Divisionals. You will need to make registration signup and payment by the end of Divisionals or you will be unable to attend the Invitational meet your swimmer qualifies for. See Misty Villarreal. If you are signed up, but have not paid, you will not swim!
