Savant Call Server: SCS-4100 Description The Savant Call Server (SCS-4100) allows you to make Push-to-Talk, panel-to-panel calls from any intercom-ready iOS devices (iPhone®, iPod touch®, iPad®, or iPad® mini). The SCS-4100 is an essential communication component, which must be included in any Savant intercom solution. The SCS-4100 consists of a single Savant Host Controller containing the Savant Call Server software and is shelved in a 1U rack mountable shelf.

Savant Call Server: SCS-4100 Specifications for Mounting Device in Rack The SCS-4100 can be mounted in a 1U rack style enclosure. The next figure shows a partial view of a typical rack used to house an SCS-4100 and other devices. The SCS-4100 is compatible with all standard 19-inch National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) rack-mounts.

The exploded view (below) shows the SCS-4100 mounted with an RCK-3000 (the front access with removable faceplate, sliding trays, and mounting brackets) and an RCV-3000 (top cover). The open shelf design allows for proper ventilation and easy wiring. Optional Top Cover
Cooling air enters the SCS-4100 through the gap around the bottom cover and exits through the vent on the back (as shown below). The SCS-4100 should be placed such that the airflow around the bottom cover and the back vent, is not obstructed.
