KRAMMBODIAN PRAYER UPDATE _______________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Praying Friends, We just had a wonderful holiday with family, and we are very thankful we had the opportunity to spend some good time with our parents, kids and grandkids. When we returned we received some good reports and we thought we would share them with you all. One is an answer to prayer from last month. I teach Evangelism at the Phnom Penh Bible College, and this semester my students were able to start over 10 Evangelistic home Bible studies with unsaved friends. Some of the groups just finished the seven week study and one of my students named Dee testified that most of the nine people in his group received Christ and five of them have started attending his church. Pray as Dee begins to disciple these new believers and as they prepare for baptism. Other groups have seen God change lives as well. Pray for the groups who will finish up in the next couple of weeks. Pray for God's Spirit to draw many to Himself. Another report had to do with some of the orphans, from Chhlong, whom we have been able to help through the years. Ya is now eighteen and God opened the door for him to study at a Christian School. Before he was increasingly hanging with friends who were leading him into drugs and other destructive activities. He is doing much better in his school work and is now expressing a desire to know God. Another fourteen year old orphan named Tavy, whom we placed in an orphanage near Phnom Penh, was featured at a government meeting held by Hun Sen's ( the Prime Minister of Cambodia) wife due to his great attitude and academic excellence. Tavy testified to how God had saved his life from drug running (drug lords were using him and his brother to run drugs for them) and from a tree that fell on their one room shack right next to his head (his sister died in this accident). When he finished his testimony, he was hugged by Hun Sen's wife and was heralded as the ideal orphan. Others of the Chhlong orphans are growing up to be serious blessings to Cambodia, through taking responsibility and seeking to walk with God. Below is a photo Sonya took with her phone of Tavy (left) and Tavry, his brother a few months after they entered the orphanage. And a picture of Ya with his mother, Ming Pein.

A third report came from Krew Moy and Kru Chahn, two of the Elders in Chhlong. They said that two of the village house churches (Dong Hut and Kancho) have had baptism services and people are trusting in Christ. Another village is asking the elders to come to share the gospel there as well. Praise the Lord for these opportunities and for those who received Him. Pray for

the Holy Spirit to empower the Chhlong church leaders as they share the good news and to open hearts of the hearers. Continue to pray for us as we will finish our teaching assignment at the Phnom Penh Bible College in July. At that time we hope to move to Kampot to live among an unreached Mslm group named the Chvea people. Pray for God to direct us specifically as to which village that we should seek to live in and that God would make us favorable to the village leaders so that they would open door for us to live and minister there. As always, we are so grateful for serious and faithful prayers going up on our behalf and for God's glory to be magnified in us and these people, Dave and Sonya
