Buker player needs player card Luis Rapids update Remove uniform (Vender Change)
Motion by Rob, Seconded by Cathy to approve the agenda with the additions/removals listed above. Motion passed 4 to 0 Motion by Rob to approve minutes by Rob, seconded by Cathy Motion passed 4 to 0 Business Items: a) Tournament director report: Julie clarified that she didn’t want to do the fundraising idea that was presented on her behalf at the last meeting – It was an idea that needs to be done though. a. She stated that she needs more support for doing the tournament. Volunteers will do one tournament only. She also stated that she need volunteer workers to work on stuff before the tournament starts b. Really need to rethink the volunteer fee for the future. c. Tournament Committee? d. Goals? e. Winter classic: 153 teams, turned away 25 teams. The question was brought forward if we can we handle the turned away teams by bumping different teams rather to grow the tournament? b) Player account management & Software

a. The current system is broken. The big issue is of two different balances, 1 for registration and one for player accounts. c) SDSSA Fees a. New state fees start in August 2017. a) The $11 per player fee for competitive goes to $15 b) New $10 fee for coaches which includes Rec team coaches. As far as preparing the budget, – Prepare the budget by just paying the fees rather than assuming a change for Academy. Doug and Luis will look into differences between REC-A vs REC and what can we do as REC-A? d) Uniforms (Vender change) e) TD Posting -- Even though the position is open in the organization, it was decided that we don’t have to advertise at this time for the position. Rather wait until we have the budget/right timing to post for the position. f) Scholarships a. Need to get pictures for the Giuseffi scholarship recipients b. We have receive $5000 for Trans America scholarships This scholarship is more wide open on how it can be spent. i. Trans America is committed for another $5000 for ‘17 r) Rapids update: (Luis) a. space for practice is an issue. It becomes a bigger issue when we lose the Civic Center for the stock show. b. The camps are in order. We are waiting for more information/confirmation from the Rapids. c. NSCAA convention: We really need to have someone go to this in the future. The Rapids where having their conference call as a get together there instead. d. There is a need to order supplies for the Spring outdoor season. e. At coaches meeting talked about the evaluations which should be going out soon.. f. An idea was brought forward to create local coaching certificates/diploma. Rapids do the following: (Due to fees for the classes) 1) Coaches get a national D license 2) After that they start progressing through the internal program Motion to go to executive session at 8:10pm by Rob, seconded by Brian. Passed 6 to 0 Motion to leave executive session by Brian at 10:05pm seconded by Steve. Passed 7 to 0

Box: We have the insurance certificate from the SDSSA for the location. The board will be looking at other options with the Box at the next board meeting. Player card item added by Buker: Player card for Gillette player. Due to issues with a refund being given at the last meeting for this player because of injury and the lack of ability to play in the Spring due to school team conflict, the board decided to not issue a player card for this person. Motion by Cathy, seconded by Rob to approve the second reading for the bylaw change for the Feb. board meeting. Passed 7-0 Meeting adjourned at 10:30pm
