THE SERIES: NJCU leads the all-time series, 22-13. NJCU has won 17 of the last 18 meetings. LAST MEETING: February 23, 2013 in Jersey City, NJ in an NJCU home quad. NJCU won, 3-0 (25-10, 2518, 25-18). Daque Wilcox established a single-match school record that will never be broken with a 1.000 hitting percentage, going 10-for-10 on attack. He contributed five blocks. Gary Preston, Jr. had 27 assists and a .562 setting percentage. Jon Diaz had 11 digs. LAST TIME OUT: On February 16, NJCU split a Skyline Conference quad, falling to Ramapo, 3-0, before finally winning its first match, knocking off NYU-Poly, 3-1. Daque Wilcox had a match-high eight kills against Ramapo and Kendall Tribbett finished with nine digs, seven kills and two blocks. Jon Diaz defended 12 digs with Gary Preston, Jr. dishing 26 assists. In the win over NYU-Poly, Bill Le had a career-high 13 kills with a .500 hitting percentage. Wilcox crushed 11 kills and hit .348 and Sheldon Coure put away 11 kills with three blocks. Preston, on his birthday, delivered 41 assists in the win. Raymel Castro had a career-high eight kills. The win snapped a schoolrecord 12-match losing streak (32 consecutive sets). WILCOX, HONOR ROLL: Daque Wilcox was named to the Skyline Honor Roll on February 17. He had a solid all-around effort for NJCU in three matches, compiling 35.5 points, 28 kills, six blocks and four service aces while averaging 3.55 points, 2.80 kills, 0.60 blocks and 0.40 aces. He was consistent on attack with nine, eight and 11 kills in respective matches, posting a .254 percentage for the week. 25TH SEASON: NJCU is in its 25th season of intercollegiate men’s volleyball—one of the oldest programs in Division III. LEHMAN NOTES: Lehman has dropped its last four matches—three in CUNYAC play—following a 4-0 start to the season. Sophomore Jaleel Lino has been their primary weapon, compiling 50 percent of the Lightning strikes—127 of the program’s 251 kills this season. He is averaging 4.23 kills per set.

• Coach Cole on Wilcox: “Daque has an unbelievable amount of talent. He’s shown a ton of potential at a variety of positions and kept us in a lot of games because of his efforts in the middle last year. He’s worked hard to improve his technique and we’ll need him to keep progressing for the future.” • Academics: Major at NJCU is Criminal Justice. He wants to become a New Jersey state trooper then continue his career as a Secret Service officer or a FBI agent. • NJCU Career: A three-time Skyline Conference Honor Roll selection (February 25 and March 4, 2013 and February 17, 2014), Wilcox was among the top freshmen in the conference last year when he was the only Gothic Knight to play in all 36 matches and led the club in blocks with 93. In a shade over a season and a third, he has played in 138 sets and 45 matches while compiling 215 kills, 113 blocks, 299.5 points, 72 digs and 17 aces. • High School: A 2011 graduate of Camden County Tech in Sicklerville, NJ with honors (3.3 GPA)...Attended Camden County College before transferring to NJCU...Was a 4-year varsity player…First-Team All-Olympic Conference…Named Warriors’ Most Valuable Player in 2011, Most Improved Player in 2010…Received Joe Hass Award…Owns schools record for kills in a match (19)…Attended Camden High School in 2007-08; earned Second- Team All-Conference honors as a freshman at Camden and was named team MVP.
